Gallery welcomes Molly Johnson

On Saturday, Nov. 14, Molly Johnson will lend her stunning vocal talents to a special Latcham Gallery fundraiser at the Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment – Nineteen on the Park.

During her stellar career, Ms Johnson has performed for Nelson Mandela and Quincy Jones, as well as singing at a private command performance for Prince Charles and the late Princess of Wales. Her album LUCKY won the 2009 JUNO award for Best Vocal Jazz Album.

She is the host of CBC’s weekend show, Radio 2 Morning. She is founder of the Kumbaya Foundation and Festival, raising awareness and funds for people living with HIV/AIDS, and works with countless other charitable organizations.

The Nov. 14 fundraising gala, which starts at 7 p.m., will include an art auction and silent auction to raise much-needed funds for the gallery as it celebrates its 30th anniversary. Tickets are $75 each can be purchased at the Latcham Gallery, 6240 Main Street. A tax receipt for $35 will be issued for each ticket.
