A Night at the Olympics
If you missed out on tickets to the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Evergreen Hospice is offering a unique opportunity to watch the final hours of the event on giant television screens at Angus Glen Golf Club on Feb. 26.
Frank Ferragine from City TV’s Breakfast Television will host A Night at the Olympics, a casual and fun evening which includes fine dining, dancing, sports and games. Live and silent auctions include a wonderful mix of travel and luxury items. You can place your bids while enjoying the finals of women’s curling, the men’s hockey semi-final and medal rounds of men’s and women’s short-track speed skating, which will take place throughout the evening.
With a casual dress code in place you can don Olympic wear or sport your favourite team’s logo to get into the spirit of the evening. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $150 each, with a special price of $125 for non-drinkers, and groups can purchase tables of eight or 10.
Proceeds are used to fund Evergreen’s compassionate palliative bereavement support for children, teens and adults living in Whitchurch-Stouffville and Markham. The organization also helps people who are coping with life-threatening illnesses, and provides support to caregivers and families.
Tickets for A Night at the Olympics can be purchased online at evergreenhospice.org or by calling 905-472-5014.
