The Whitchurch-Stouffville Chamber of Commerce is adopting a little glitter in an attempt to elevate the status of its annual Business Recognition Awards. The awards, which are to be held at a ‘Sparkling Reception and Dinner’ Sept. 23 at Stouffville Creek Retirement Residence, will take the form of the Academy Awards as Business, Business Entrepreneur and Corporate Citizen of the Year are named.

On Sept. 8, the Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment – Nineteen on the Park launches its second Starlight Cinema Film Circuit season. This year, movies will be screened twice a month, on the second and fourth Wednesday.
